hema electronic has been named AMD Adaptive Computing Partner Premier. The two companies are thus deepening their collaboration, which began in 2010. As one of the few board and kit manufacturers at the highest partnership level, hema can now offer its customers exclusive access to tools and resources relating to the AMD Kria environment.
hema electronic has been a Xilinx Alliance Program Member since 2020. Both companies have a long-standing partnership and numerous successful customer projects with System-on-Modules from AMD/Xilinx and individual mainboards from hema.
Chetan Khona, Sr. Director, Industrial, Vision, Healthcare & Sciences Markets at AMD comments on the appointment of hema as an AMD Adaptive Computing Partner Premier: „hema electronic stands for strong expertise for the perfect integration of AMD SoC and FPGA technology. A large number of customers benefit from hema's know-how in hardware and software development as well as from their long-term support throughout entire product lifecycles. Our companies have been working together for many years and with numerous successful projects. We are happy to recommend hema for the design-in of our products.“
Oliver Helzle, Managing Director of hema electronic: „With the Kria SoMs, AMD offers the ideal basis for applications relating to embedded vision, edge AI applications and sophisticated multi-signal processing. In addition, the company offers a comprehensive environment of software and tools for quick entry into application development. The Kria SoMs therefore ideally complement the hema embedded vision platform. Together, we enable customers to develop prototypes and electronics for industrial applications even faster and more efficiently. We are very pleased to continue our long and trusting cooperation as AMD's Adaptive Computing Partner Premier.“
Recently, hema introduced a fastlane board service for its embedded vision platform, for which all production processes from layout and design, purchasing and inventories to flexible assembly and logistics are optimized. As a result, near-series prototypes for embedded vision electronics are produced within just a few days. Therefore, Customers select functionalities and interfaces in a workshop or using a configurator and define the board format. One or more system-on-modules, for example from the AMD Kria series, can be integrated for variable computing power. The circuit diagram and layout are created on the basis of the proven hema Design Library with over 45 predefined building blocks. New and customer-specific circuits can also be taken into account. The prototype is delivered including a board support package with FPGA middleware, tools and demo applications. This enables customers to start developing and testing their end application in the shortest possible time.
